Hi, I’m Clarissa, the storyteller, travel enthusiast, and history lover behind Clarissa’s Passport Adventures! Based in beautiful, historical Greenwich (yes, the Prime Meridian bit), I’m here to share the highs, lows, and laughs of traveling—whether with my family, as a couple, or solo when the stars align.
Why I Started This Blog
My love for history began in secondary school when I became mildly obsessed with the Tudors (Henry VIII, corsets, the whole lot) and the swashbuckling tales of D’Artagnan. Over time, that passion for stories grew into a love of exploring the places that shaped them.
Travel is more than just ticking destinations off a list—it’s about connection. Whether that’s discovering a hidden gem, sneaking away for a romantic date day (hello, Lanzarote submarine adventure!), or carving out rare solo time, I believe every trip tells a story worth sharing.
How We Travel
We’re not your typical travelers. As a family with an autistic child, our adventures look a little different—and that’s okay!
We’ve swapped the all-inclusive buffet life for villa stays, which give us space, privacy, and (let’s be honest) the joy of coming home with clean clothes instead of a mountain of laundry. Sure, there are challenges—like our late-night arrival in Lanzarote when the shops were closed, or the time I forgot my ADHD meds—but those moments are part of what makes traveling so memorable.
When the opportunity arises, I also love escaping for a couple’s getaway or embracing the freedom of solo travel. Whether it’s exploring Corfu’s romantic beaches or a quiet moment to rediscover myself, these trips are just as special.
